Another Power Hour

Ryan decided to host another gathering at his place in philly. rich of course wanted me to come over a little earlier so we could pre-game before arriving at ryan's. ryan said some crazy junx about playing board games and drinking a little, i thought he was joking when he first told me. i showed up at rich's a little after 8pm, manthan was already there with his cool haircut, a mohawk. i think its a little silly to pay for a mohawk, anyone can cut one...but manthan's haircut did look pretty snazzy for a mohawk.

i started off the drinking with a Sam Adams Summer Ale. It was less delicious than i remember. The next drink i had was a gin and tonic made with Bluecoat. Pretty fancy gin, you should try some...pretty good for dry gin. Wasn't long until ryan called to ask when i was coming over. Turned out the plans had changed, no board games...instead, we were going to do a power hour. Having a playlist of music, the next song comes on after a minute and that cues you to take a shot glass's worth of beer. So if you pour it right you'll have a little over 7 beers in your blood stream by the end of the power hour. At this point i wish i hadn't had that gin and tonic.

When we got to ryan's, he showed us he had a variety of beers. Budweiser, Budlight Lime, Yeungling, Dog Fish Head, and some other randoms...oh i dread the taste of Budweiser. But i ended up drinking some anyway.

You can see from rich's and my face how excited we were about consuming some Bud products...

Here manthan is sportin' the indian beer...because he's indian. Turned out it tasted awful and that is why India is not known for their brews.

Here ryan and will are doing the power hour thing...

rich wimped out early, stopped drinking like 40 minutes into the power hour and decided to take a nap. He is notorious for falling asleep at parties/gatherings.
A lot of people ended up whimping out. The only two people that completed the power hour were ryan and myself. Since no one was taking it seriously and the supply of beer was low i only consumed 6 beers as a result of the power hour.
When the power hour was done, the night was still young so we headed out to get some food and more booze.
