Cleared the Vieux Cheateau

Yesterday i started the clearing process for the vieux cheatu du roi (say that five times fast). Since its summer the a/c is blasting and the laundry room that i store the wine is basically an ice box. So the fermenting process takes longer. Its tempting to move my operations in the garage where it is warmer. The specific gravity reading was 0.992 so it was time to add the clearing agents.

Dissolving the clearing agents.

The degasser is such a life saver. i could use that thing all day. If you don't release all the CO2 in the wine you end up bottling it and you feel like you're drinking crappy sparkling wine. On the 24th i should be ready to bottle this junx. After further drinking of the Muller-Thurgau, turns out its quite delicious if it is refrigerated which is how all white wines should be served. At least thats what they tell you at the wine tastings. i even brought a bottle to the reunion. Everyone liked it, they didn't believe i 'made it'. Oh well, i just make it to get crunked, not to get praise for it.
