Seriously Animal Planet, Why Haven't You Hired Me Yet?

Woke up Monday morning (i guess it was more like the afternoon) to find two brown bodies across the pond. i opened the door to get a bigger look. Deer! During the day! Pretty much never happens to me. Being an Eagle Scout a i have a little appreciation for nature and all that fun stuff. But the one person i knew would enjoy this was my dad, Mr. Nature Nut. While i take pictures of geese while i'm shooting them, he takes pictures because they look 'pretty'. Geese are just noisy grass eating poop machines, nothing pretty about that.

Anyway, back to the deer...there were just two of them eating the shrubbery by the pond. The buck even had some antlers growing. Once my i told my dad about them he ran to get his 2 mega pixel camera that apparently has a 'telephoto' lens. i don't care what it has, its a freakin' 2 MP camera...its crap, throw it away and get something ridiculous like the Nikon D80 or the Canon Rebel. But no, he loves his dinosaur camera.

This first picture was taken with my crappy 5.1 MP camera that i won on an online slot machine during company time when i was at Wyeth.

This picture was taken with my video camera, i don't even want to know what the MP is on that thing...i'll just cry. If its over 1.5 i'll be surprised.
Oh it gets better, i even took some video. i'm too lazy to used the footage from the DV tape, edit it, compress it, and then upload it...so i just recorded straight to the SD card and uploaded that. The picture quality is much worse than the DV footage, but if i were to compress the DV footage it woudn't be that much better.

Not sure what i was feeling while watching the deer. Like do i want to shoot them or hug them? They're always jumping infront of my car when i drive at night, and i've always wanted to go hunting...or do i want to hug them because they're so cute? i guess if i do ever go hunting i could just shoot them and then cuddle with the dead carcass afterwards as it would be hard to hug a life wild deer. Is that weird?
