Catchin' the Sunrise

Our second day at Siem Reap steve wanted to catch the sunrise coming up over the temple. He read somewhere it was a must see. This morning it was time for cheri to bounce back to saudi via the fantastic airline of JetAir, i think...maybe i made up that airline.

It was pretty crazy how many people woke up at the crack of dawn just to catch the sunrise. Too bad i have a crappy camera that can't capture the full gangsta-ness of the sunrise. It was pretty chilly this morning too! Once the sun was up we looked at some monkeys and my mom bought some paintings. Even i bought a painting! They wanted something crazy like 120 bones for the painting...my mom got it for 25. Seriously, whenever you go to one of these countries get a lower price like its your job. This painting probably costs 10 bones to make.
Our next destination was Ta Keo.This temple was dedicated to Shiva and considered incomplete. This thing was pretty massive...looked complete to me! There stairs on this thing were ridiculous. If you fell...you were going to fall for awhile. But i had no problem getting to the top. steve on the other hand...did. It was a little depressing while i was going up on all fours when 10 yr olds and old ladies were scaling this thing like they were any ordinary stairs.
See this picture...you can't even see all of the stairs because they're so steep. i don't even know why i climbed up this side...there were easier stairs on the other sides.

This was probably one of the most fun temples. Mainly because there was no one here and there were no guards so i could climb whatever i wanted.
After spending pretty much the whole morning at the temple we headed back to our hotel and rested a bit before going back out to chill at a bar and have a few beers. We found the best deal at this place. 2 beers for a dollar! You CAN'T beat that! Plus its draught? And its Angkor?! Wireless?! i was in heaven.
Not only were there sweet beer deals but they had fish and chips! i really just like fish and chips so i can eat some tartar sauce. Man do i enjoy my tartar sauce. i wish i could just inject it into my blood stream...hmm.
Hey! That's the pizza place! Le Tigre De Pa Pier! The paper tiger? Is that what it means? That's my guess. The bar were went to was Temple...or was it Elpmet?
My mom picked out a place for dinner. Not only was this place a buffet but they had a show too! All for 12 bones! The spread at this place was awesome. They had all my favorites and more.
Too bad i wasn't that hungry. But i did get a chance to try most of the things they had.
Here is a fun blurry picture of the show. The show was actually kind of lame. i was too tired to watch it. We all left about a quarter the way into it.
This was our last night in Siem Reap...marie and steve would be leaving us the next day and my parents and i will catch a bus back to the capitol Phnom Penh.
