Up the Mekong River

It was time to bounce from Chau Doc and hop on a boat and cross the border into Cambodia! The Victoria Hotel was running the boat but because we weren't guests of the hotel we couldn't board the boat at the hotel...and had to get on at another dock up river. Lame if you ask me.

While waiting for a ride some vietnamese boys were running around. As you can see steve didn't trust them as he watched them from a distance. i thought they were nice, dirty, but nice.
At the visa check point in Cambodia i found more puppies! This has to be one of the cutest puppies on the trip. Tell me that you don't wish you could grab this puppy out of your computer monitor and squeeze it half to death.
Okay, if that first photo didn't get you this next one well...aww, look at those cute puppy eyes!
Phewf..i think i'll be alright. Here is our very narrow boat. My mom told us that this boat ride was 2 hours long. Yeah...she lied. It was 6 hours long! wtf?
When we finally got to Phnom Penh we grabbed some tuk tuks and headed to hour gangsta hotel.
After checking in we headed back out and grabbed something to eat. i got a chance to try Angkor Beer! The country's national beer! It was pretty stinkin' good!
Lemon, i forget what i ordered here. i think it was a chicken melt. It was delicious. Eating something besides fish was amazing.
When we got back to the hotel we found out that we were running out of time to check out the royal palace. i believe it closed at 5:30 and it as already 4:45! We booked it to the palace and they wouldn't let us in at first but we said that we would be quick. If anyone could tour this massive palace in 30 minutes its was us!
White elephant?
The palace was pretty interesting. Pictures weren't allowed in most of the places but i did sneak some video.

For dinner my mom wanted to get some authentic Cambodian food. i tried a little bit of everything. i even ate jack's 4 cheese ravioli. Little did i know, there was something funky in my food and i would find that out later in the night.
What was nice about this meal as that not only did they have Angkor beer, but it comes in giant bottles! Holla!
