Life in Bungalows...

While getting ready to head out to dive, i found ants in my shoe! What is that all about? What could possibly be in there that they wanted?
Our bungalow had water heater while my dad's bungalow didn't. Its amazing how much enjoyable a shower is with this dinky water heater.
When we were organizing our dive we were told that there are really only two dive sites. In the north and in the south. The south ones were off limits because there had been bad weather and crazy waves preventing them to boat to them. So we decided to only dive one day because we would be diving the same sites if we dove a second day.

Here is the tip box. Christmas and Tet (Chinese New Year). Crazy combination of you ask me.
Time for some dive pictures! My dad purchased a waterproof bag for his camera but its so cheezy. The pictures are only in focus if you're 2 inches away from what you're shooting. Cheri on the other hand has a fancy hard case for her camera that takes very good pictures.

The picture below is a catfish! i thought these things were fresh water fish...apparently there are some salt water species too.
Sea urchins...i hate them. i 'high fived' a sea urchin once and got 23 spines in my hand. Not only do their spines hurt but there is venom in them as well...lemon.
This is me trying to meditate under water. Didn't go as well as i had hoped. The current was pushing me all over the place.
You're not cool unless you pull your regulator out of your mouth at 30 feet below the surface and blow air out.
Here i'm surfacing..
We had a real meal on the boat after diving! Typical asian layout. For some reason i get so hungry after diving.

i get tired too after diving...
The diving was alright. Sure the water was much clearer than in Nha Trang but there wasn't that much to see. i've been spoiled by diving in the red sea being able to dive where ever i wanted with out a dive master leading the way the whole time.

Once we were back on land we picked up the scooters again at her hotel and toured around some more before going back to the resort for some om nom noms.
i guess our place was alright for 30 bones a night.
i think this is my and cheri's bungalow but i could be wrong.
Here's the beach!
Here is my dad's bungalow!
Here we have a cute asian baby playing with sea shells. Okay, maybe its more ugly than cute...but i couldn't help but smile when she (he?) laughed.
Sadly there was no buffet at the resort but there was live music! Not nearly as many people turned at as when they had the buffet but it was nice to have a quiet dinner.

i ordered a burger! i think the meat was imported from Australia. It was so good.
To drink i had a Tiger beer and a glass of creme de menthe! Oh man i haven't had creme de menthe forever.
i forget what this dish was. Some kind of raw fish. i think its some kind of black fish.
Here is my fortress of solitude against the evil that is insects. It was pretty warm in the beginning of the night but towards morning i would be freezing. Lemon...i miss my air conditioning in Chau Doc.
