Corn, Corn, and More Corn

Nothing really exciting happened today but all i have to say is that there is a lot of corn in Iowa. Not just a little bit...like a lot. We're not talking about a couple of corn fields in Lancaster, PA...those a joke compared to the sea of corn i saw riding through Iowa. Imagine a desert...with sand stretching as far as you can see...now replace that with corn. That's pretty much Iowa.
While we were one our way to Ames, Iowa...we stopped at Cedar Rapids, IA to visit a man my dad has been doing some investment stuff with. He lives on a golf course and has the same Keen sandals as my dad. He also has a dog...a shelty. Just like my late Daisy, sniff. His dog was a little bit smaller than daisy was and looked kind of funny because her fur was cut really short.

He told us that his wife had found a new groomer and wanted to try her out. When the dog had gotten its fur cut, Darin could barely recognize her. Seeing his short haired shelty reminded me of the time my mom watched a poodle show on tv and thought she could make daisy look like one....poor daisy. She looked retarded.
Darin recommended that we at at Old Chicago because they have some pretty heavy servings there and 110 beers. Of course only 35 of there beers were on tap but i guess i could let that slide just this once. For dinner i ordered the Meat Me calzone. It was pretty ridiculous. i thought my stomach was going to explode after i finished it. Didn't help that i had over four pints of delicious beer as well. Beer never tasted so good after another long day of riding.
Tomorrow we leave for Columbus, Nebraska....should be a fun time.
