Going to Kingman, AZ

Holla. We got two rooms at the California Inn for 50 bones each. We put my dad in a room by himself so we wouldn't have to hear him snore. Breakfast was pretty weak. All i had was two packets of instant oatmeal and some pastry things.

The ride today would lead us out of trashy east California and into Arizona. Before reaching Arizona we ran into some interesting sites. One of them was a marker for a town that doesn't exist anymore. The one town had a giant cement marker with the town name and booths supposedly where buildings use to be.
Had my bike tied up at the bank while trying to rob it...
Got thrown in jail..
Babo, being an alcoholic, hit the saloon for some boozin'...
After we were done checking out the 'town' i peaced. i didn't care if i saw my dad and uncle in my mirrors or not i wanted to ride. Of course the road was pretty ridiculous. It was really rough and my arms went numb after 10 minutes of riding on it. i thought i was riding on the original Route 66.
After crossing I-40 a couple times i decided to pull off some where and wait for the other two to catch up with me. i found this abandoned gas station with a huge over hang supplying a nice shade for me to park in. i waited for what seemed forever. Turned out it was only 12 minutes before i heard uncle floyd calling for me on the CB radio saying that they were stopping at the gas station i had passed a quarter of a mile back.
At the gas station we ran into some bikers for PA! They were from some town north of Harrisburg or something and actually knew a guy that my uncle grew up with in Williamsport, Bernie. Small world...These two couples were on Goldwings as well that were all decked out and one of them was a trike. They each had honkin' trailers too.
Some crazy run down general store...1914
Roy's. Dating back to 1930..
On our itinerary today was Sitgreaves Pass. Some crazy mountain pass with all kind of turns in it. If you miss a turn you'll probably fall to your death.

The mountain pass wasn't too bad. Probably because i took it pretty slow since i was in the lead. Uncle floyd and my dad found it pretty easy since they could get a good idea of the road ahead of them from my position ahead of them.

After the pass we came across some lame tourist trap.
After looking around a bit we found this sign...Maybe they should post this on the other side of the pass.
Desert heat makes me a little silly sometimes..
When we finally rolled into a Quality Inn in Kingman...we all agreed to hit the pool. The pool was freezing but still refreshing. We then jumped into the hot tub which wasn't 'hot' at all. The hot tub was more like 'room temperature' tub.
Everything in this town has Route 66 slapped on it...even the pool.
For dinner our choices were pretty slim and we decided to on the Dambar Steak House.
For starters we ordered the Damnachos with spicy chicken added for 2.99. It was good.
For dinner i got the ribeye since the reviews for this place all mentioned it was fantastic. It was fantastic. Probably the best steak on the trip. What wasn't good was their lame house beer, Route 66. It was supposedly a 'gold' beer but tasted like water. This stuff makes Coors Light seem like some top notch dark Belgium brew, that's how bad it was.
i was so full after my meal i didn't even want dessert...until i saw that they had cheese cake...so i had a slice.
Ugh, so full after that meal. Grand Canyon tomorrow!
