This Post Contains No Ethanol

Apparently that cats we ran into last night did not have their fill of shenanigans when i left them in the parking lot as they left their footprints all over my bike this morning. Rat bastards. i was going to leave my leftovers from the Big Texan for them but not now...not after this junx.
What was our first stop today? You guessed it...another ghost town, Texola. Sounds like a motor oil brand or something. This town was pretty lame. Could not even get in any of the buildings because they were all boarded up.

But they couldn't stop me from getting on top of the building! Ha! Take that Texola! You can't really say you've been anywhere unless you've been on top of it...that's my philosophy.
There was a lot of trash around these buildings...like modern trash as if these places were used for parties and what not.
The 'coolest' thing about this town had to have been the town jail. Pretty small jail...must have been a low crime rate unlike Philadelphia.
While messing around i got locked in the jail with Babo. It was alright at first...until babo had to use the bathroom/poop bucket...
Turns out babo takes a mean poop...like you taste it in your throat...much like products of uncle floyd...i needed out.
i quickly broke out of that junx...no way was i staying in a jail with babo.
Every man/stuffed doll for himself of course. Sorry babo.
Further down the road we make another random stop. The Elm Motel. This is no ordinary motel, its a car lot motel so we just had to stop to take a picture. At least it had some old school cars to look at, from a distance.
Motel garages...
Ever see those "Beware of Dog" signs and wonder if there really is a dog? Well, this place definitely had a dog. A big mean one to boot.
i of course am a Dog Whisperer and can tame the meanest of dogs but i had no time for that today. Also the owner came out to see what the ruckus was all about so i bounced.

Supposedly Oklahoma has the best views on Route 66. From what we've seen already it wouldn't take much. Most of the route today was on the old Route 66...like special concrete roads which is really old school.

We finally got into one of these Route 66 museums for 3 bones each. It was pretty lame. They had a couple cars and maps but it wasn't anything to write home about. They had a '73 corvette in the museum and when we walked outside there was another corvette in the parking lot that was even older..
Babo thinks he might be related to the kachina dolls. i guess i see a little resemblance but i'm not too sure. What do you think?
Can't go through Oklahoma without getting a picture next to a Historic Route 66 sign.
Again today we had a hard time following Route 66 and we ran into a lot of "Dead End" signs. But the one time we had to turn around we got a chance to take a look at some bison (or tonka if you've recently watched Dances with Wolves).
Bison are much cooler than cows. Cows just look retarded compared to bison. Plus bison have smaller butts. Not that i was checking out their butts...just an observation.
After turning around from the dead end we went the opposite direction to visit another old school pit stop...
Later we went across this crazy old school bridge. i'd tell you the name but uncle floyd doesn't know it from the top of his head. It was really long and pretty impressive for such an old bridge. Seemed like it went on forever and had a million arches.
When we went to fill up for gas...the price was 3.25/gallon. Not too bad. The most we've paid was about 4.17/gallon in San Francisco. The gas stations in Oklahoma advertise that their gas does not contain any ethonal. Know the reason for that? Oklahoma is a cattle state and they don't want their corn being used for fuel since that drives up the prices up for cattle feed. One of those supply and demand thingies from econ class.

The round barn. Thank goodness this was closed when we got there. Closed at 5pm and we arrived at like 5:15pm. i can only take so much of this site seeing.
Here we have another old Phillips 66 gas station. i thought this gas station was more interesting than the restored one in Texas. Seemed more real or something. Couldn't get in this place since the windows were all locked. One window however was cracked open a little bit and if i had some wire cutters i could have gotten it open to get inside the building...next time i guess.
We arrived to our hotel pretty late at about 8:40 pm. We walk into the lobby and my dad gives his name for the reservation. The hotel doesn't have it. My dad and uncle both thought the other had made a reservation at the hotel but neither of them actually did it. Awesome...so we found another Comfort Suite that had a room available. We were lucky to get a room because there was a fair or something going in town which was apparently a big deal.

We were in such a hurry to get some dinner we just asked the guy at the front desk for place to eat. He gave us a Vietnamese restuarant to go to, Saigon Palace. Sounds fancy. When we got there it was already pass 9pm and they were closed. So we searched around for another place and found this Asian Cuisine.
The menu was a little confusing as they had vietnamese, thai, and chinese dishes listed. i guess it really was just 'asian' cusine...not any particular asian food.

For starters i ordered the War Wonton Soup. Sounds dangerous. The soup had all kinds of stuff in it such as shrimp, beef, chicken, and of course wontons. Pretty big bowl too. i had not eaten for 28 hours by this point so i was pretty hungry.
After the soup i had some rangoon wonton.
For the main course i picked something random, the Hot and Spicy chicken. Eh, it was alright. Definitely wasn't hot or spicy...i hate it when they saw a dish is spicy and its actually super mild.
Here is my fortune from the cookie. Not sure what happened to the corner of it...i think i accidently ate it.
