The Not So Secret Garden...

To continue from my last blog's theme, went out again today to get some more ridiculous garden statues. Of course it wasn't the only time i got out of the house today, i also went for a motorcycle ride. It was 65 degrees today, where did winter go?

Pretty sure my mom got this at one of her favorite stores, either Bombay or Home Goods....

some crazy asian looking thing...Not sure where this came from...but they've been around longer than i have, there are like 4 around the house...Here we have a geode. Name comes from the greek word "geoides" meaning "earthlike". Just a cool rock with crystals formed in it. This guy got it in Saudi while out at an oil rig or something. He then moved back to the states. In the process of moving his wife said if my mom could pick up this massive rock she could have it. They didn't take with them them because it's illegal to take cool stuff out of saudi. When my parents left saudi, the movers came, and my mom said if they could get this rock packed with the shipment then they could have their old fax machine...that's like 7 years old...sounded like a deal for them and now we have a geode in our yard again.
