W P I Feast

My parents got a gift card from one of the kids for a nice restaurant. Though i'm not too crazy about the place, i think its the wallpaper...Of course my parents wanted me to come, my mom says she doesn't enjoy herself when she goes out to eat if i'm not there with her...i think thats silly, like she wanted me to go out to dinner with them on their anniversary. What's that all about?! Its not my anniversary i shouldn't be there!

i digress, of course the one night we pick to go out to eat its snowing a whole bunch, and the lexus is being silly and sliding all over the place and so is ever other car ahead of us.
We were a little bit late for our 5:30 reservation but not a whole lot of people were there so it wasn't a big deal. After realizing that i did not have anything to really blog about today, it was recommended from joel that i just blog about the buffet. i decided to take pictures of each plate but as to not draw attention to myself i didn't use the flash so the pictures did not come out very well.

For the first plate, i decided to hit up the salad bar. Threw in some spinach leaves with onions and cheese toped with some light Italian dressing, some tuna, salmon roll, tuna roll, california roll, some crazy pasta, and a deviled egg. Oh, and almost forgot the oyster. Decided to take it easy the first round...
That plate didn't take too long to consume so it wasn't long until i was back in line for the main course. For plate number two i grabbed some garlic mashed potatoes, some pasta, a cod thingie, a piece of bread, some chicken thing, and then the nice hispanic guy plopped a massive piece of prime rib on my plate that was cooked medium RARE. This thing was still bleeding on my plate, i think i even hear it "moo" a couple times while i was cutting into this succulent piece of love. Though it did have a bunch of fat tagged along with, but i avoided eating those parts and it was delicious. i wouldn't have had it any other way. But of course every other table that got up to get some complained about it and had it sent back to the kitchen to be cooked more and the manager had to get note of it...so the next roast was over done.
i didn't play that plate smart, should have stayed away from the mashed potatoes and slice of bread...but i'm such a sucker for those starches and they just take up more space than they need to in the belly...That plate took a little longer to finish but soon i was up for the third round.

My third plate wasn't very impressive, i decided to take it easy. Just two mozzarella sticks, two wings, two fried shrimp, (starting to sound like my own little plate of arch) some crazy fish thing, a crab cake, and a mound of tartar sauce. Everything was pretty good except the wings. i think it was the batter, not executed very well...over powered the chicken and wasn't very enjoyable. But that didn't stop me from eating both of them :P.
i just don't have it like i use to, i was pretty full at this point was about to call it the night. Until the waitress told us about the new dessert menu on the cart that was just created the day before. i'm a person that enjoys their cheese cake so i had to try a piece of it. To wash it down i got an irish coffee which i didn't finish because i forgot i didn't drink coffee. But i got 3/4 of it down my throat.

i won't lie, i doubted that i would be able to finish this sweet slice of cheese cake, but soon less than two minutes went by and all that was left was this...
So yeah, that was my dinner...nothing to brag about. i think my stomach shrunk. i guess my dream to become a professional eater well never be...

Amateur. . . you went totally wrong with plate #2. Haven't you learned anything from me and my superior buffet ways? Grasshopper, you muse save heavy starches for last.

You did redeem yourself a bit with the cheesecake. Your finished plate looks like a dessert crime scene. . .
